What is Fireworks of My Heart about?

Firefighter Song Yan and Xu Qin were first loves as teenagers until her controlling adoptive family drove them apart. Years later they meet again on the job: he now runs a city fire station, and she is a reserved emergency doctor who has spent her life meeting other people's expectations. Working the same emergencies, they slowly rebuild trust, while her adoptive mother's opposition and an old family grievance stand in their way. The romance doubles as a tribute to the firefighters and medical staff who run toward danger.

Based on the novel: 《一座城，在等你》 by Jiu Yuexi (玖月晞).
